Choosing the right sheen of paint is important not only for the finished look but for maintenance as well.

Flat/Matte: No sheen. It absorbs light making colours appear dull and hides imperfections.

Eggshell: Low shine and withstands light scrubbing.

Semi-Gloss: Medium shine. Withstands heavy scrubbing, so it’s a good choice for high traffic areas or a child’s room.

Gloss: High shine. Reflects light to make colours brighter and imperfections are easily visible. Gloss is great for trims.

Stain

Stains are available in multiple styles that allow for visible changes to finished wood.

Clear: Prevents water damage, but allows wood to grey naturally.

Toners: Slight hint of colour, but still allows for a natural wood look.

Semi-Transparent: A colour change while still allowing visibility of wood grains and texture.

Solid Colour: A full colour change that allows the wood texture to still remain visible.

Caulking & Adhesives

Caulking adds a finished look and much needed water resistance by filling in spaces and gaps between surfaces. Slegg stocks the best brands in a wide range of colours to meet your project requirements.
